Stéphane MARTIN

Born in 1970 in western Brittany, I was a landscape gardener specializing in flowers for several years. This professional activity has enabled me to maintain a direct relationship with the world of art and images in which I have been evolving for over 30 years.

 

As a student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes (France) and at the College of Arts, Design and Multimedia at Portsmouth University (UK), I had the opportunity to discover the world of images through my experiences as a press/publishing/advertising illustrator, as a designer, decorator and colourist for cartoons, as a publisher of children's books, and finally as a teacher of visual and graphic arts.

 

These combined artistic and landscape worlds have naturally led me to my current illustration work, which is purely inspired by the scientific world of flora and fauna.
