Pendant près de cinquante ans, Jean Dagorne a parcouru des centaines de milliers de kilomètres au guidon de machines les plus diverses. Il a vécu intensément sa passion pour la moto et les voyages, depuis l’Europe jusqu’aux lointaines pistes de l’Atlas marocain. A 73 ans, toujours pas rangé des motos, il décide de se lancer un nouveau défi: retourner dans les Balkans pour revoir les pays qu’il a traversés au cours des étés 1975 et 1976.
En trois semaines, l’auteur, seul au guidon de sa Honda, parcourt 7900 km à travers 15 pays. Son carnet de route est illustré de clichés en noir et blanc que l’auteur a lui-même développés à son retour.
Cette série d'images mystérieuses en noir et blanc prises par Jacopo Brancati est un voyage silencieux sur l'Ile des Impressionnistes dans les Yvelines près de Paris... mais de l'autre coté du miroir.

The Viapori dockyard boasts almost three centuries of uninterrupted activity. Where warships were once built, ships with historical significance are now restored.
Every winter the dockyard shelters a fleet of traditional wooden sailing ships built in the aftermath of WWII for the coastal trade.
They ensured the supply of building materials for the reconstruction of Helsinki, were meant to work hard and live short. Thanks to two generations of people who sailed and lovingly preserved them, a few of these ships survive.
A journey with the community of the Finnish maritime pilots, their traditions and environment.
Jacopo Brancati spent three winters at different pilot stations along the coast from the eastern border to the west, then up north. Welcomed by the pilots as a fellow worker, he shared their everyday life, work and long waiting hours at the pilot stations and aboard the ships landing and leaving Finland.
This experience is narrated like in a fresco; a work commissioned by the National Maritime museum of Finland with the support of Finnpilot, the pilotage state owned company. From this photographic art work, entirely made with film cameras, the Maritime Museum of Finland, Merikeskus Vellamo has chosen sixty fine art prints for its collections.
