_Ports.d'Europe_

Ports d'Europe en quête de nouveaux mondes is an exhibition designed with the collaboration of major European maritime museums with which the museum maintains privileged relations: Barcelona, Gdansk, Rotterdam, Aberdeen, Amsterdam, Antwerp, Esbjerg, London, Kotka, Flushing, Genoa and Venice.

It will offer all visitors a unique opportunity to discover remarkable collections representative of European maritime heritage, from the North Sea to the Mediterranean, but also to admire the new museum room which covers 200m2. It is bordered at the level of the 1st floor by a glass footbridge which allows to have an overview of the exhibition and to discover an exceptional 3D video frieze.

The latter offers a spectacular panorama of the evolution of cranes and boats over time and will immerse visitors in the heart of history. The fitting out of this room is an investment by the Urban Community of Dunkirk and the Nord-Pas de Calais Region on the occasion of Dunkirk 2013, Regional Capital of Culture.
